Summer 2017's First Look new products and trends is recently published. Here are some of the style directions that are amplified for the season:

Modern Traditions

Bringing back the "Less is a Bore" design philosophy.  This season's Dining and Holiday looks feature modern and transitional styles furniture with maximalist decor in full force. Bright, bold colors intermixed with velvet fabrics and/or polished metal finishes add a dramatic flair to the dining room. Textures and patterns play an important role in the final impression.

iGen - Generation Z Perspective

The next Generation Z after the Millennials is already gaining attention in big companies' product marketing and sales departments. Characterized as highly educated, eco-conscious and multi diversed group; this cohort looks for tech-savvy furnishings and gadgets that are simultaneously fashion-forward and functional. Natural wood combined with mono color tones, embellished with walnut/metal veneers in chic retro look represent this year's top look for the Z group.

This year, First Look curator and editor, Julie Smith Vincenti added PANTONE®VIEW Blues and Oranges color complements for the iGen market. The palette adds a style direction for designers and retailers who are looking to market for this group.

Outdoor

Backyard beautification projects by incorporating casual lounge outdoor furnishings is growing exponentially within the last few years. Modern modular deep seating set, coupled with patio umbrellas, wicker recliners and rattan/bamboo woven chairs, complemented with a Zen fire pit as the centerpiece provide a cozy patio and garden get-together ambiance for friends and family. 

Handmade

The Craftsmen's expertise is invariably valued and could be the key differentiator for many customers when selecting home furnishings and decor items. The new section for Artisans are located across the campus and some items are cash-n-carry (available for purchase). That being said, here are some of our tried and true handcrafted, natural rattan items from Indonesia that we're proud to unveil at market.
